Kürt Data Recovery technology

Data recovery is a technological procedure, the essence of which is to reveal the nature of the data loss and replace the elements of the faulty part (be it the software or hardware element).

The purpose of the technological process is to retreive the data on a properly functioning device (another data storage). After copying the original data content, the real data restoration begins, i.e. the examination of the extracted data and making it usable again for the user. However, the purpose of the data recovery procedure is not to detect the cause of the error, nor to repair the faulty device.

The difficulty of solving the problem lies primarily in the fact that the error occurs at the level of the building blocks. A hardware error can be almost molecular in size, and a software error can be a bit in size, of which there are billions on a modern data storage.

During the development of KÜRT Data Recovery, it has changed along with the data storage, for which it has developed its own data recovery solutions for hardware devices and software, which only serve to recover data.

Data Recovery history

KÜRT’s success began with the repair of broken data storage facilities at the end of the 70s. The floppy, the magnetic disk, then the HDD were our task, then came the flood of PCs that swept almost everything. The challenge was enormous and ongoing.

Thanks to the research and development results of its international engineering team, in cooperation with its foreign subsidiaries, KÜRT is able to successfully deal with new challenges of technological development.

Challenges in data recovery

According to our knowledge, there are at least ten thousand different types of data storage device on the market today, and manufacturers are constantly working on the development of new devices. Floppy, magnetic tape and hard disk have gone through a significant transformation, not to mention their data saving procedures. And data storages – contrary to all the claims made by their manufacturers – sometimes break down.

In the software world, we had to explore a number of areas that were new to us. For example, the programs (firmware) that determine the operation of hard drives, NAND FLASH drives, or the internal structure of operating systems. And there are a lot of operating systems, the versions multiply like mushrooms and there are quite a few “poisonous” ones among them. The emergence of countless viruses poses further challenges to our specialists.
